Therapeutic Nature and Walking Trail Ribbon Cutting
Chrysalis House recently celebrated the Ribbon Cutting of the Merrill Family Therapeutic Nature & Walking Trail alongside sponsors, community partners, staff, clients, donors, and friends who helped bring this meaningful project to life. We were honored to invite Senator Dawn Gile, Delegate Heather Bagnall, and Delegate Stuart Schmidt, and are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors and partners, including Drum Loyka & Associates LLC, Charm City Run, Arundel Rivers Federation through Chesapeake Bay Trust, Homestead Gardens, the Merrill Family, the Allen Family, the Akoya Pearls, Rotary Club of Annapolis, Angie & Ed Ponatoski, Elizabeth Rossman, the Williamson Family, the Zide Family, and local artist Jimmy Howard. This peaceful therapeutic space will provide healing, reflection, wellness, and connection for the women and children we serve for years to come.
International Overdose Awareness Day
International Overdose Awareness Day is observed annually on August 31. It’s the world’s largest campaign to end overdose, reduce stigma, and support families and friends affected by overdose.
Fall Festival
Chrysalis House hosted another successful Fall Festival, bringing the community together for a delightful day of fun and festivities! A huge thank you to McNamee Hosea Attorneys and Advisors for sponsoring this special event! Mr. Scarecrow welcomed everyone in the courtyard, while the charming pumpkin patch out front invited visitors to choose their favorite gourds. Tables were set up nearby for pumpkin decorating, complete with stickers for creative embellishments. A Herald Harbor Fire Engine # 6 added to the excitement. Clients and their children enjoyed a delicious scoop of ice-cream topped to their liking from an ice cream truck! The petting zoo and pony ride added to the excitement, delighting guests of all ages with furry friends to interact with. It was a wonderful celebration of the season!”
