CHRYSALIS HOUSE HEALTHY START
Chrysalis House Healthy Start (CHHS) serves Maryland residents who are pregnant or with one child under the age of three, and who have a history of substance use disorder or mental health issues. Located on the grounds of St. Ambrose Church in Baltimore's Park Heights neighborhood, CHHS is supported by the Maryland Department of Health/Behavioral Health Administration (MDH/BHA) and Behavioral Health Systems of Baltimore (BHSB).

CHHS partners with each resident to help her access the resources and referrals needed to achieve these goals: have a safe and healthy pregnancy; maintain sobriety and improve her mental and physical health; develop successful parenting skills; and transition to become an independent productive member of her community. CHHS provides safe and sober living in a healing environment, and supports a holistic approach and services to address all aspects of the woman’s personal goals and needs.
